About Dr. Laurie Robinson

I’m a family practice physician at Burke Primary Care in Morganton, NC. I’ve been practicing the full range of primary care for over 20 years.  I have always been interested in nutrition and its role in wellness. Much of my practice centers around chronic disease management and treatment. In 2022 I participated in a local program called Thrive/C2Life which was my introduction to Lifestyle Medicine. I immediately started the board certification process and became American Board of Lifestyle Medicine certified in December of 2023. I believe the lifestyle medicine approach is what we need to stem the tide of obesity and chronic diseases like prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and obesity. I am also interested in menopause management and how hormone changes effect visceral fat deposition and muscle mass. I opened Lifestyle Medicine Solutions of NC in 2024 so I could spend more time helping people make lifestyle changes that lead to improved health and less reliance on medication.
